Day 7 (Mon) - Ice Cream!!!

Slept in!

Took the dinghy out to walk on the the reef just south of the airport

Saw many fast crabs on the lava rock  

Walked out on the ocean side of the reef, and Bruce decided to go "swimming" in < 1foot of water.  This gave him the opportunity to chase down his hat and water bottle in the current!  Cool Purple, Red, and Blue coral!

Rode the current inside the reef which was super cool!   Snorkeled against the current with the fishes (schools of silver fish & needlefish)...  Really great snorkeling!! --- Bruce said it was the best ever:-)  I do believe I agree...

--> Cruised by the Faanui Church & looked for additional "Snorkel" spots -- Still no guns:( --- "Toured" the broken down hotel (Bora Bora Lagoon Resort) across from Viatape -- Went to Viatape.

--> Moored at Makia Marina to re-provision

Went to the Chen Lee supermarket in Viatape to re-provision
-- Bought fat French bread (by the meter was sold out...)
-- Bought 2 liters of Chocolate Sundae (Chelsea's choice) Ice Cream & 6 giant spoons & ate it on the wharf!!!  Hot day on shore.  Great choice Chels!!!

--> Sailed to Bloody Mary's (again) to get water

Sent the ladies to get the water key at Bloody Mary's since we knew they would get more sympathy from the staff.  After several hours... they proved unsuccessful (something about no key after 3pm...).  Since we didn't want to have to come back, Jim, learning from his earlier torture from the natives, acquired the key from the outmatched waitress (I hope we don't need anymore water this trip)!!!!

The moon came up late so we saw a sky full of stars!  Google Sky Map helped us see the Southern Cross for the first time (CSN).  Cool night laying on the trampoline.
